Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are an essential part of everyday life for millions of people across the world. Some of our patients have found that whether it be for sport or social activities, spectacles may not be the most practical solution for them. However, they found contact lenses were better suited to their lifestyle.

With modern technological advances, contact lenses are more accessible than ever and are available to 99% of the population. We offer a wide range of contact lenses to suit both your prescription and your lifestyle.

We have daily, fortnightly and monthly lenses, as well as for astigmatism and multifocal prescriptions.

What is involved with Contact Lenses?

An Eye Examination is required by the optometrist to judge whether contact lenses are suitable and whether they will fulfil your expectations and provide realistic benefits for you. You will then be required to have a Contact Lens Assessment. The optometrist will take into consideration your lifestyle, leisure activities and working environment and then the necessary tests and measurements will be performed, before you are given professional advice on the most suitable lenses for you.

How much does it cost and what is involved?

Contact lens Assessments are £75, which include:

  1. All appointments the optometrist recommends during the fitting process (minimum 2)

  2. Being taught how to insert and remove your contact lenses safely and competently

  3. Trial lenses to take home and try

An Eye Examination is also £47.50 privately and less if you are entitled to an NHS voucher. The cost of your contact lenses varies depending on your personal requirements and will be discussed with the optometrist during your contact lens assessment. The cost of your lenses depends on your prescription, the material of the lenses and the type of lenses you have.

You will be provided with a professional after care service for twelve months, which is included in the contact lens price.

This will ensure your contact lens care covers you from your initial Contact Lens Assessment, to your required annual Contact Lens Check

Book an appointment for an eye examination and we can begin your journey in becoming a Contact Lens wearer!
